Identity, stationery and website
Studio Strike is a London-based collective and creative space for emerging and established artists. As well as offering a number of artist studio spaces in south London, they regularly curate and run artist-led talks and events such as the highly successful Bread and Roses Film Festival in 2012.
We designed the new circular mark which is inspired by the collective approach of artists’ studios. The mark also reflects the historical context of the building housing the collective – The Bread and Roses in Clapham, a former coach house now owned by the Battersea and Wandsworth Trades Union Council. The building is named after a line in a James Oppenheim poem which was sung by women textile workers on strike in Massachusetts 1912.
